PERSONAL LIFE & CAREER

Jenny Rae has worked for The Walt Disney Company on and off since 2003. She started at Disney Store at The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks. If you walked in the store, she was usually found dancing around to Disney music or helping guests find the perfect gift. She left Disney Store to make magic at The Disneyland Resort where she helped throw "The Happiest Birthdays on Earth" and assisted 5 baking shows a day at Junior Chef. After 2 years, Jenny Rae left Disneyland and joined the Radio Disney Road Crew. She helped teach the latest High School Musical and Hannah Montana dances while getting you pumped to win prizes. After over 3 years, she decided to leave Radio Disney and pursue Lil Rae Cakes full-time. 

Over the course of 12 years since Lil Rae Cakes started, Jenny Rae has had many odd jobs from being a nanny to a Santa Elf. She also dived more into other creative outlets by selling jewelry, themed berets, headpieces, paintings and much more.
 
Disney-owned YouTube network, Maker Studios, signed Jenny Rae's channel in 2015. She was also contracted to make videos on Stan Lee's "World of Heroes" YouTube Channel. Later, Jenny Rae hosted "Disney Style Live", a weekly live social media show for the Disney subdivision, Disney Style, that included unboxings, interviews and DIYs. 

In 2018, she rejoined The Walt Disney Company as a morning DJ on Radio Disney. She interviewed celebrities from Danny Elfman to Kobe Bryant. In 2019, "Oh My Disney on Radio Disney" was born and Jenny Rae shared fun Disney facts, anniversaries and birthdays. Digital content was also created with DIYs, food tutorials and National Days. Other content included fun games and trivia with the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and practically the entire live action red carpet including Angelina Jolie and Dwayne Johnson at D23 Expo. Jenny Rae left Radio Disney in 2020 towards the beginning of Covid-19. The station officially closed a year later.

At 5 years old, Jenny Rae wanted to be a fashion designer. While she mainly sews for herself, Gibson Ghoul was created to sell shirts and has been reimagined multiple times. It just keeps coming back from the dead. Gibson Ghoul was a part of Stan Lee's Comic-Con and other events where you could purchase thrift pieces that were personally picked out and screen printed by Jenny Rae. Gibson Ghoul has made another comeback and will have more available soon... including homemade Madagascar Vanilla.

Creating characters is one of Jenny Rae's favorite flukes. Phyllis Herman was created as a joke for one Dapper Day at Disneyland and she never went away. With big 60's hair, large circle glasses, jumpsuits and gaudy jewelry, she prances around making faces for pictures and giving big hugs. Phyllis Flair are limited buttons with Phyllis artwork by different artists and are passed out at events. While Jenny Rae has a huge fear of singing, she made a music video cover singing as Phyllis to "I Wanna Be Like You" from The Jungle Book. Barb Eckelberry is another character that screams 70's/80's crafty lady with a monotone Southern accent and dead eyes. Misty Tears is a wannabe Britney Spears and came out with an original song, "Bake Love". It's a mixture of Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and Alexis Rose. Last but not least is Rodney Paul, a skeezy guy that you wouldn't trust around your wife. He appeared in Traci Hines' "Shellphone Bling" music video as a dancing sailor.
